Peach Jam Final Recap

The fourteenth annual Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C. may have had as many top players as any of the previous thirteen. Every game in every (4) pool had star players. Here are a few notes and final analysis from this tournament. The tournament consisted of the sixteen best Nike teams in the 17 and under group and the 8 best in the 16 and under group.

 

Harrison Barnes, Brandon Knight, and Jared Sullinger  are far and away the three best players in the class of 2010. I would even know who to put immediately behind them.

Harrison Barnes Takes Peach Jam by storm

Harrison Barnes showed again this week at Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C. that if he isn't the number one player in the high school class of 2010 then he is on a very short list. But more importantly he showed his courage and will to win after suffering a hand injury on Sunday night. Most players would sat down and gotten their hand attended to and rested on their laurels the rest of the week,especially playing on a team that had no chance of advancing out of pool play. But not Harrison he was only sidelined a few seconds, the allotted time an injured player must leave the game before returning to help his teammates.

July 10th Recruiting update

The Duke coaches are off the trail today and get ready to go at it again tomorrow. Coach K will be in North Augusta, S. C. on Sunday and Monday at Peach Jam . Coach Collins and Wojo will be there for all four days. Nate James is off the road for the rest of the summer. His wife is due with a baby this month. Duke has been granted a waiver and Chris Spatola will be out in his place at various events.
